Going Down Swinging is a biannual literary magazine featuring fiction, poetry, comics and spoken word, all on the one book/CD package. What a great idea you say? Les Murray seemed to think so...
Started
in 1980 by Australian writers Myron Lysenko and Kevin Brophy, GDS has
passed through the hands of various editors including Lauren Williams,
Grant Caldwell, Lyn Boughton and Louise Craig, as well as a plethora
of readers, typesetters, designers and proofreaders whose assistance
has been invaluable in allowing GDS to survive for more than 20 years.
We'll be featuring some blasts from the illustrious past in our vaults,
but in recognition of the transitory nature of being, these pieces will
be available for a limited time only. There's no free set of steak knives,
just excellent stuff for you to experience. So go look.

This year we fondly farewelled Stephen Grimwade and alicia sometimes who have left GDS after nine fine years as editors, to explore other literary pastures.
