One Night Wonders: Felix Nobis
Sep 25 @ 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm
Felix Nobis brings a warmth and robust humour to his storytelling that win over any audience: long, rolling tales in the epic tradition but filled with modern Australian vernacular and characters. Twice the winner of the Australian Poetry Cup, Felix retranslated Beowulf as a one-man show that toured the US and Europe, winning the praise of Seamus Heaney. His multi-character monologue Under an Open Minded Sky was commissioned by Hawthorn City Council, while Once Upon a Barstool toured Ireland and enjoyed a season at La Mama. (We can confirm this event is on a Thursday, while others in the series are on Fridays.)
