I wanna hear a little revolution — Emily XYZ, ‘Revolution’

Presented by Queensland Poetry Festival, the Arts Queensland XYZ Prize for Innovation in Spoken Word is Australia’s only arts award that recognises the growing field of spoken word, named after the former 2010 Arts Queensland Poet in Residence, Emily XYZ, who left a deep impression on many of today’s Queensland spoken word artists.

Open to all Australian residents, this award came with a total prize money of $1000. The 2016 selection panel was spoken word artist Eleanor Jackson (Melbourne) and Jeet Thayil (India), the 2016 Arts Queensland Poet in Residence.
