#27 saw the arrival of editor Klare Lanson to partner Lisa Greenaway, with Steve Grimwade signing off after a mammoth nine issues at the helm. The format of Grimwade’s final issue was retained, as the characteristics of Greenaway’s curatorship began to gain prominence.

This issue’s text offerings included George Dunford, Australian National Slam winner Kelly-Lee Hickey, and New York’s adrenaline-charged comic novelist Matthue Roth.

The CD featured work from Adam Gibson and the Aerial Maps, indie rock legend Kim Salmon, Canadian poets Ian Ferrier and Jim Christy, New Zealander Hinemoana Baker, and a young Geoff Lemon, who would later go on to edit Going Down Swinging.
