Archives: Kat Capel
Kat Capel is a writer of nonfiction, poetry and fiction. Their writing focuses on the poetics of narration, is often conversational and blunt in style, and contains a merging of forms such as, but not limited to; poetry, prose, screen/playwriting, image and found text.
Their first manuscript ‘work & love’ was highly commended by the Deakin University Nonfiction Prize and subsequently published by Incendium Radical Library in 2021. Their writing has been published with Cordite Poetry Review, Seventh Gallery, Voiceworks, Inhabit Journal, Dead End Film Festival, the Emerging Writers Festival Gazette, and the Digital Writers Festival amongst others.
They are a PhD candidate at RMIT University and co-director of the expanded literary workshop series ReadtheRoom, which focuses on facilitation outside the institution.
