    Non-Fiction, The Funeral

    a soft, unarmoured thing

    Wen-Juenn Lee

A painting with bold colours and shapes, of a young girl on the left-hand side with a black bob and in a pink and blue jumper with a flower on the front, stripey pink pants and slides with pink socks. In one hand she holds a glittering sword. She raises her right hand where it crosses over with the legs of the large purple horse rearing up on the right-hand side of the painting. The horse is standing on its hind legs, is wearing pink high-heeled boots on all four feet, and has a long swishing tail. The figures are on an aqua background and turqouise floor, surrounded by sparkling golden coins. The horse has an orange cloudy speech bubble filled with more coins. A cheeky little beige cat rests on top of the horse.
